Kathleen Kececi

Kathie received her masters in dance and dance education from Teacher's College, Columbia University. She serves on The Board of Directors of Dance New Jersey. She is founder and director of Summerdance, an integrated arts program for children, and the In Motion Dance Company for high school and adult dancers.

Kathie's choreography has recently been presented at The Rebound Festival in New Haven, CT, The Bickford Theatre, Moravian College, Seton Hall University, Ceres Art Gallery, NYC, and Grounds for Sculpture.

Kathie was the featured choreographer in an article on emerging women choreographers in NJ. She has taught master classes at high schools and universities in NJ, NY and PA.

Kathie was a teaching artist for The New York City Ballet's Nutcracker Project and continues to teach workshops for them.

She acted as rehearsal director for Claire Porter's repertoire piece at Raritan Valley Community College. She currently teaches Modern dance at Dorothy Del Guercio School of Dance in NJ.
