Dorothy Del Guercio

Dorothy received her dance training from Emily Sarles in South Orange, NJ and is a graduate of Lasell Junior College where she majored in preschool education and studied dance with Jean Cousins.

She was president of the college dance company and taught ballet and creative movement in Newton, MA.

She has performed in summer stock productions, and has performed and choreographed for many community theatre groups, including the acclaimed Montclair Operetta Club.

Dorothy has been the director of her own school for 40 years. Previously, she taught Ballet and Tap at the Doreen Kerner School of Dance in Livingston, NJ, and was the dance director at the Music and Arts Camp in Florham Park.

She teaches children workshops throughout the tri-state area, including a workshop she taught at Lincoln Center for the New York City Ballet Company as part of their children's workshop series.

Dorothy received certification from the Professional Dance Teachers Association, and is a member of NADAA (National Association of Dance Teachers) and ADTNJ (Associated Dance Teachers of New Jersey).

Her creativity has endeared her to the hundreds of students over the years. Many of her former students now bring their own children to the school.
